Roman Glass and Plum Garnet Bracelet

A rectangular ancient Roman glass piece set in a sterling silver adjustable bracelet with plum red garnet gemstones.  Roman glass piece is a pale smoky pink brown color with natural sand inclusions and patina.  Garnet gemstones are plum red faceted ovals, 9 mm x 5 mm.  Dangling from the clasp is a Pyrope garnet faceted teardrop, 9 mm x 6 mm.  Bracelet is finished entirely in sterling silver and adjustable up to 9 1/2 inches by clasping anywhere along the chain.  The word garnet comes from the Latin word granatum, which means pomegranate. According to the Talmud the only light on Noah's Ark was provided by a large garnet gemstone. Garnet is excellent for energizing the imagination and achieving one's dreams and desires.  Garnet is a January birthstone associated with the root chakra.
